Mid back and rib pain is the least common spinal region for people to experience pain. The reason for this is because both the low back and upper back/neck pain are much more mobile than the mid back, which is more fixed and sturdy. People do still experience pain throughout this region, commonly relating to poor posture as people are often sitting down at a desk for most of the day.
